In the Studio: Rene Marie

When ‘record stores’ were still a thing, I walked into Hear Music in Berkeley one afternoon and I asked my favorite music lover who I needed to hear today. Without hesitation he said “Rene Marie”. I went to the back, listened to the first 30 seconds of the first 4 songs on Vertigo and fell in love. I’ve seen her live in New Orleans and at Monterey and in Santa Cruz and more; there isn’t a purer voice in my playlist currently. I love this woman!
